ESM

How it works

Our ESM service works by storing your text in a database, and retrieving it as needed to display on your web site. The benefit is that you do not have to know Web design in order to maintain and update your site.

The first step is to set up a new ESM account with Amicron to use our ESM service. We will set you up in our database and assign you a username and password. Optionally, for a small fee, we will go through your existing web site for you and convert all of your text directly to our ESM service.

The next step is to Log on to the ESM service by entering your username and password.

Next you will see a list of your existing strings, if any, in your database.

You can add new strings by clicking on the ADD ITEM link.

You can edit your strings by simply clicking on the ID number next to the string.

Now that you have set up your strings in our database, you (or a web designer of your choice) can insert special tags into your Web site that will display your strings. Again, for a small fee, we can do this for you.

When you view your web page, it will look just like any normal web site to your visitors:

To edit your text, just log on to the ESM web site (here) at www.amicron.com/esm. Then browse to your web site. You will see small edit tags anywhere on your web site where there are ESM strings.

That's it. Now, in order to make changes to your web site, or to update your information, all you have to do is log on to our ESM service, and browse through your web site. Click on the edit tags if you wish to make any changes, and edit your site right in your web browser.

You can also add our WebEvents service to your web site to maintain your current events listing.

NOTE: your web site must be hosted on Amicron's Web Server for our service to work for you.
