AMICRON POPUP KILLER

Popup Killer is designed to close advertisement windows that open up while you're browsing the web. Right now, Popup Killer only works with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher.

Essentially, Popup Killer takes a look at the IE windows you have open when it starts. It puts those windows on the "acceptable" IE windows list.

In the example picture above, there are two IE windows open. These windows are considered "safe" windows, and will not be closed.

As you're browsing the web, if any additional windows pop up, they will be automatically closed by Popup Killer, and you'll hear a beep.

Now, sometimes a web page will try to open a link that you click on in a new window. Popup Killer will instantly close this new window. To get around this, you can temporarily disable Popup Killer by unchecking the "Auto Kill Enabled" box. Now, open your new window, and then click on the "Auto Kill Enabled" box again. Popup Killer will resume operation, but your new window has been added to the "acceptable windows" list.

That's it! Popup Killer is a real simple application. If you have any other questions, please send them to support@amicron.com
