Amicron NetAdmin Service ($92 per hour)

 

Your company depends on its computers. You can depend on Amicron to provide for the needs of your computers. Maintaining and caring for your computers can be a full-time job. What is the better use for your company's valuable time and resources: maintaining your computer systems, or growing your business? You focus on your business' needs. Amicron will focus on your computers. That's what we do best.

 

For the medium to large company with multiple computers connected on a Netware or Windows LAN, our NetAdmin service assures that your network is running properly at all times. We provide you with ongoing maintenance and diagnostics, and our technicians are standing by in the event of an emergency service need. The NetAdmin service includes all of the following:

 

User Maintenance

Adding/removing users, setting up user accounts

Email Maintenance

Making sure your company Email is running properly

Network Security

Setup and verification of your LAN's security

File Maintenance

Ensuring that the data integrity and structure of your LAN storage is adequate

Network Troubleshooting

Ongoing resolution of any network problems

Backup Verification

Ensuring that your data backups are setup properly, running regularly, and verifying the data on your tapes

Virus Scan Maintenance

Checking to make sure your systems are adequately scanning for virus intrusions, and ensuring that your virus scan files are always up-to-date

Tracking your software and notifying you of any upgrades, patches, or bug fixes you should need

Administrator Training

Personal one-on-one training for the person on your staff who is your "network administrator" in the issues that can arise regarding day-to-day operations

Phone-Based Technical Support

 

If you require assistance with your computer, yet you don't need a technician to actually come out and work on your machine, you can give us a call. Our standard policy has always been to provide a few minutes of technical support free of charge - as our way of saying "thank you" to our customers. However, should you need more detailed help from one of our technicians over the phone, we have flexible rates available. We have a special pager for our 24-hour service technician. If you would like the number, please give us a call.

 

Standard Phone Support

For phone-based technical support calls during our normal business hours, we charge $9 for the first five minutes, and then $1 per minute thereafter.

 

Extended Phone Support

Phone-based technical support provided outside of our normal business hours is billed at $19 for the first five minutes, and $2 per minute thereafter.

 

Overnight Phone Support

Phone support provided between the hours of 10:00 pm and 9:00 am is billed at $29 for the first five minutes, and $3 per minute thereafter.

 


Amicron PCDoctor Service ($59 per system onsite, $39 carry-in)

 

Companies of all sizes, and even home users, should have their computers cleaned and maintained regularly. Our PCDoctor service accomplishes this and more. We have combined a thorough software and hardware diagnostic package with a general cleaning and maintenance of your computer to avoid downtime as best as possible.

 

Hardware Diagnostics

We run through a complete battery of tests, checking everything from the motherboard, system memory, and hard drive to the floppy drive and monitor.

Software Maintenance

Proper maintenance of your software files include scanning your hard drive, defragmenting your files, and removal of "junk" on your hard disk.

Virus Scan

We'll check your system for any known viruses, and eradicate them if needed.

Dust Removal

Dust can be a killer! We'll open up your computer chassis and blow all of the dust out. Remember, if dust builds up, it can trap heat and damage your system.

 

 

Amicron PCDoctorPLUS Service ($99 per system)

 

For those who want to be sure that they never have to worry about maintaining their computers, we have a PCDoctorPLUS service. This service includes a more thorough cleaning of the entire computer system, and some additional services that most users can benefit from. Our PCDoctorPLUS service includes everything from our standard PCDoctor service in addition to:

 

Thorough CPU Cleaning

We clean your system's CPU more thoroughly, including the exterior of the case

Clean Peripherals

We clean your monitor, mouse, keyboard, floppy drive, CD-ROM drive, and more

Printer Maintenance

We clean your printer out, run cleaning paper through it, and check the toner

Backup Verification

Ensuring that your data backups are setup properly, running regularly, and verifying the data on your tapes

Software Upgrades

Tracking your software and notifying you of any upgrades, patches, or bug fixes you should need

System "Cleanup"

We go through your system, removing any files that aren't needed, help you to organize your files in a more efficient manner, and generally "clean up" your hard drive.

 

 

Many companies under-estimate the value of regular preventative maintenance. Consider this: our PCDoctor service is just $39. If your system gets choked with dust because you're not taking care of it, and your processor overheats, it will cost you a minimum of $78 for just the labor to replace your processor - not including the actual cost of the processor itself. This is just one example of how preventative maintenance will save you money in the long run.

 


Amicron Standard Service ($78 per hour)

 

Standard service includes all types of normal computer service. This includes, but is not limited to, repair, upgrades, general consulting, troubleshooting, delivery and installation, and more. If you need to add a hard drive to your machine, or if your system crashes, or if you can't figure out why Microsoft Word won't load, you need Standard service. Standard service does not include anything listed below under Premium service.

 

Repair

Has your hard drive crashed? Can't figure out why Windows won't load? This service involves repairing damaged or malfunctioning computers.

Upgrades

Need to add a bigger hard drive, install a new version of Windows? This service includes all upgrades needed to your PCs.

General Consulting

General consulting is any non-programmer related consulting, such as a professional needs assessment, recommending an upgrade path, deciding which software solution is best for your company, and so on.

Setup & Delivery

Need new merchandise delivered or set up for you? Your Standard service plan takes care of it.

 

 

Amicron Premium Service ($92 per hour)

 

Anything and everything not covered by Standard service is Premium service. This includes software consulting, on-site training, database development, custom programming, issues involving a network file server (Novell Netware or Windows NT), in addition to any services listed under our NetAdmin service above. If one of our Premium service specialists is required, you will be notified in advance.

 

Software Consulting

Need for us to develop an Excel spreadsheet for your human resources department, or need help with a Word macro you're writing? Software consulting avails you of our software experts for any package we're familiar with (Windows, most office suites, and more - ask if we know your software package!)

On-Site Training

This is training for your staff provided at your facilities with one of our instructors. This includes material taken from any of our available course outlines, or a custom session (see Training below).

Database Development

We can develop custom database solutions for your company. Need a quick order-entry or customer-management solution designed? We can handle it.

Custom Programming

We can also develop software for you to accomplish just about any task. Need some batch files written to log your users into your accounting system? Need a program to give your customers to calculate loan payments? You name it!

Network Issues

Any issue with a network file server is covered under Premium service. If you need service on your file server (not including a hardware-only issue, like upgrading the hard drive or memory), then we will send a network specialist. This includes service such as user maintenance, server problems, and such.

 


Amicron Training

 

At Amicron, we specialize in first-class training solutions for our customers. We can provide training at your facilities or (as we recommend) in our classroom. We have topics ranging from Introduction To PCs all the way up to Advanced Microsoft Access Development. We have a much more comprehensive listing of rates for different types of training available. Please call for more information, or for a copy of that listing.

 

Classroom Training

This includes classes in our Training Center. We can accommodate groups of up to four (4) students. One class credit provides training for one student in one class. Daytime classes are currently $59 per credit. Evening classes are $69. Weekends are $79. Quantity discounts are available for multiple students.

On-Site Training

This is training at your facility. We will use your equipment and software. You can choose from any of our standard outlines, or learn what you want to learn. Our rates for standard topics (call for a class listing) is $78 per hour. Advanced topics are $92 per hour.

One-On-One Tutoring

If you want one-on-one tutoring in any of our standard class topics, and in our Training Center, the rate is $39 per hour in the daytime, $49 per hour in the evening, and $59 per hour for weekends.

 

 

Priority & Emergency Service

 

We realize that there are times when you need help fast. If your file server crashes, or your workstation goes down and you need to get data off it by 5pm, or something catastrophic happens, you need a technician there quickly. This is why Amicron offers Priority & Emergency Service. With an Emergency Service call, we guarantee that we'll have a technician to your home or office within 2 hours of your service call, provided your service call is received by 4:00 pm on any regular business day (generally Monday through Friday, except holidays). If we receive your call after 4:00 pm, we'll have a technician there on the following business day by 10:00 am. If not, you pay no Emergency Service fee, and you receive one hour of free service.

 

Priority Next Day

A priority next-business-day service call is $39 in addition to the normal billable rate for the service call ($78 or $92 as listed above). If you are utilizing hours from a service package, we will deduct the appropriate time and fees from your plan. If your service call pertains to a covered Amicron system, you pay only the $39 fee. Your call must be received by noon for next-business-day service.

Priority Same Day

A priority same-business-day service call is $59 in addition to the normal billable rate for the service call, as listed above. Your call must be received by 10:00 am for same-business-day service.

Emergency Service

A regular Emergency Service Call is $99 in addition to the normal billable rate for the service call, as listed above.

Emergency Plus

Outside of regular business hours, a Priority Emergency Call is $139 in addition to the billable rate for the service call (time-and-a-half weekday evenings, double-time on weekends and company holidays).

 


 

System Upgrade Service

 

This service is only offered as part of a service plan. It covers upgrades provided on one machine for the following components: hard drive, memory, processor, add-in cards. It does not cover upgrades to the motherboard or system chassis. Covers upgrades if components purchased from Amicron only.

 

 

Service Guarantees

 

If you require service, in most instances we can have a technician to your home or office on the following business day. We've been in business for over six years now, and we have eight employees - five of whom are qualified for on-site technical support and service. Very seldom has it ever occurred where we did not have a technician available the following business day to tend to a customer's needs.

 

If, however,  your computers are absolutely critical and you want a guarantee in writing that one of our technicians will be available for you, should you need service, we do have the following service guarantees available. These are monthly rates to guarantee the availability of a technician. These rates do not include the actual price for the service, which is billed at our applicable hourly rates. All service guarantees require a minimum commitment of six months.

 

Next Business Day Guarantee

Guarantees a technician will be dispatched to your home or office on the following business day, provided we receive your call no later than 4:00 pm. If we receive your call after 4:00 pm, a technician will be to you no later than 10:00 am on the second business day following receipt of your call. Cost: $59 per month.

 

Same Business Day Guarantee

Guarantees a technician will be dispatched to your home or office on the same business day, provided we receive your call no later than 12:00 noon. If we receive your call after 12:00 noon, a technician will be to you no later than 10:00 am on the following business day. Cost: $99 per month.

 

2-Hour Guarantee

Guarantees a technician will be dispatched to your home or within 2 hours, provided we receive your call no later than 4:00 pm. If we receive your call after 4:00 pm, a technician will be to you no later than 10:00 am on the following business day. Cost: $159 per month.

 

24-Hour Technical Support Guarantee

Guarantees a technician will return your call for telephone-based technical support within 1 hour of receiving your call or page. Cost: $29 per month.

 

 

 

We have 24-hour support available for any of our customers. There is no monthly charge, however there is a per-call charge (see Phone-Based Support). If you would like our 24-hour support phone number, please call.

 


Evening, Weekend, & Holiday Service

 

Unless otherwise specified, all prices quoted are for services provided during our normal business hours which are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 5:30 pm, Eastern Standard Time, excluding holidays (most National holidays; please call for our list which is updated for each year).

 

If you require service outside of these times, we can provide it for you, however the following modifications will apply to our service rates. Additionally, if this service is unscheduled please add our priority service fee of $129.

 

 

Evenings & Early Mornings

Services provided between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm, or between 6:00 am and 9:00 am will be billed at 1.5 times the normal hourly rate. For example, a standard service call (normally billed at $78 per hour) will be billed at $117 per hour.

 

Overnight & Saturdays

Services provided on Saturday, or on weekdays between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am will be billed at 2 times the normal hourly rate, with a minimum of 2 billable hours. For example, a Premium service call (normally billed at $92 per hour) will be billed at $184 per hour, and there is a minimum charge of $368.

 

Sundays & Holidays

Services provided on Sundays or company holidays will be billed at 3 times the normal hourly rate, with a minimum of 4 billable hours.
