What about motherboard upgrades? Depending on your computer, it may or may not be cost-effective to upgrade your motherboard and processor. In today's PC market, you're almost better off buying a new machine. We can look at your computer and tell you whether or not your processor is worth upgrading.
What about processor upgrades? Again, this depends on your computer. Generally speaking, however, processor upgrades aren't worth the money. If you have, say, a 300 MHz processor right now, chances are your motherboard won't support more than 500 MHz - and you won't notice that difference in speed. There are exceptions, but you're better off in most cases investing in more memory.
Can I just buy the parts and install them myself? Amicron is a service company. We don't stock a lot of inventory. If you're looking just to pick up the parts and install them yourself, you're better off visiting a computer "superstore" or buying the parts online. Give us a call if you need someone to install the upgrade for you.
How do I place an order? You can give us a call at 716-837-4685 and dial extension 3 for sales. Let our representative know you would like an upgrade and we'll schedule you for an appointment. For carry-in service, you will be dropping off your computer for 3 to 5 business days. For on-site service, we will try to schedule a technician as soon as possible. All sales are final, and all orders must be pre-paid with cash, company check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.
