Email Reader Setup Information

Amicron Email can be accessed via our Web site. You can read, compose, and manage your email through our very easy-to-user Web-based email program.

Your username is your FULL EMAIL ADDRESS, such as richard@amicron.com
Your password was given to you when you signed up for your account. Make sure you're using your EMAIL username and password - not your DIALUP username and password, which may be different.

Third-Party Email Programs

Yes, our Email service does work with 3rd-party Email programs aside from our Web-based mail reader, however we do not officially support any 3rd-party mail programs

If you know how to configure Internet mail, your email username and password are the same as those you would use to logon for email via our web site, however you do NOT need to type in your entire email address; just your username.

Your POP3 server will be mail.amicron.com or mail.amicron.net, depending on whichever server your mail is coming through (i.e. based on your email address).

Your SMTP server will be mail.sysr.com if you are dialed into our Internet service.

Microsoft Outlook

Again, we do not officially support any 3rd-party mail programs, however the following are installation instructions for Microsoft Outlook 2000. Other versions of Outlook are similar.

Step 1. Open Outlook. Click on Tools > Accounts.

Step 2. Select the MAIL tab. Click Add > Mail. A wizard loads.

Step 3. Enter your Display Name. This is whatever you want your name to appear as. People to whom you send mail will see this in the FROM field. Click Next.

Step 4. Enter your full Email address as shown.

Step 5. For the server settings, enter in the POP3 and SMTP server settings we indicated in the section above (either mail.amicron.com or mail.amicron.net for your POP3 and mail.sysr.com for your SMTP). Click Next.

Step 6. Enter your EMAIL username and password as given to you by Amicron. Here, just use your true username - not your whole email address.

Step 7. If you are connected via Amicron's dialup service, select Connect using my phone line and click Next.

The remainder of the setup wizard is fairly self explanatory. Now, you are configured to connect to download email. First, we recommend you connect to the Web, then click on SEND & RECEIVE in Outlook.

If you have any questions, email support@amicron.com (if you can), fax us at 716-833-6724, or call us at 716-837-4685. Again, we do not officially support 3rd-party mail programs, so there may be a charge for this call, if we cannot get you up and running in just a few minutes.
